Whoever made the Nike tag line had the right idea. Only three words, but can be applied to so many areas of life.

This will be my first written piece on something I’ve been wanting to do for quite some time. To me, this post is the perfect start. Perfect way to tell you that I once doubted my idea, I once sat, roll, crawl, slept all over my ideas until I decided that it's time to stop holding back.

Getting started is not an overnight process. You will not wake up every single day after making that decision and feel energized to begin. Its a process, it takes time.

Pause.

Do you have an idea that you’re currently making your bed? (I want you to pause and ask yourself this aloud and answer yourself).

Write it down right now and after reading this blog post, I hope you will take a look at that idea everyday until you find the courage to start planning and executing.

Unpause.

Your comfort zone is not your friend. The ideas and thoughts that visit you repeatedly are not coincidental. They visit you for a reason.

Just start, Just do it! It gets easier after you start.

Don’t be afraid of making errors. Of course it is important for you to strategize and thoroughly plan before beginning, but errors can be fixed. Errors are made by the wealthiest, the smartest and the most powerful.

Those who take risks eventually learn the strategies of recovering from any errors made. How will you learn to bounce back if you never take the risk?

Persons have different reasons holding them back. Two very common ones are confidence and comparing.

You might have the confidence, but you keep comparing yourself to others. It's quite easy to tell an individual not to compare themselves to others, but we are humans, it happens.

However, you control your response. The next time you stop yourself from getting started with your ideas because of comparison, remind yourself that:

- Your journey is unique to you, so your ideas are worth being explored.

- You're doing it for you.

- We don't know the obstacles faced by others and advantages others have, therefore comparing them to your circumstance is futile.

The results of confidently stepping out does not bring immediate gratification. It takes time, it’s a journey that you have to be dedicated to.

All the motorcades in your head can slowly be removed. Just Do It!

I hope you have that notepad with the idea(s) written.

Here are some tips on how to get started with your ideas, you can save the image below for later use and a reminder.

I hope you enjoyed this blog piece. Comment and share tips that help you.
